  • Buying Second Hand Video Games

Some gamers choose to buy video games second hand instead of buying them brand new. It is a more cost effective choice if the games are undamaged and it means you can buy more video games for your money!

For some gamers, this is not an option simply because they want to get the latest games first. If, for example, you want something like the latest Resident Evil game, or Halo Infinite right as it launches, you will probably need to buy the game. And not just that, you will usually need to pre-order it too.

Many video games are now available online so you might also be able to play some of your favourites without having to buy a physical game. This is good for some people, but not for others who might like to have a collection of games. You can also rent games as a cost effective alternative.

  • Resident Evil 2 is Released Tomorrow!

It’s the one that all fans of horror games have been waiting for: Resident Evil 2. After the success of the first game, it was only going to be a matter of time before a second was brought out. And now, it is only one day away. The game will be available to buy for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and if you pre-order it, there are some very good deals available now.

This game is horror through and through. Its graphics have come a very long way since the release of the first game back in 1998, making it more realistic and eerie than ever before. In the game, you will once again be based in Raccoon City as it is infected by a virus and the residents become zombies. Main protagonists Leon Scott Kennedy and Claire Redfield return, giving the game a sense of familiarity – though it is barely recognisable with the all-new graphics making it more realistic than ever.

The good news is, there is still plenty coming up in the way of new releases. Here are some we are eagerly awaiting:

    1. Red Dead Redemption 2. This is a hotly anticipated sequel, and we don’t think it will disappoint. You will play as an outlaw, working with other gangs to take on the American frontier. Rockstar Games will no doubt be releasing some new online features too.
    2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This is the same Nintendo fighting game series, but transferred over to Switch. It’s been changed a little, but for the better. It will be out in December.
    3. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. You’re going to find there are some big changes with this one. Set in Ancient Greece, with plenty of options for new characters, there are plenty of new game and world elements to explore.
  • Lego the Incredibles – Who is it For?

Lego the Incredibles – Who is it For?

Lego the Incredibles is a Lego-based video game, based on the Incredibles films. It was only released a few days ago in the UK, so many people are still buying the game for the first time, though reviews were mixed and it’s hard to tell how it will sell. It is suitable for Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

The plot is very closely related to the plot of the film, though it has been made so that it is more suitable for children. Adaptations have included a 2-player mode so that it is more like playing with lego in person. During gameplay, the player will control the movie characters, who are actually very true to life, with the same superpowers and abilities. The storyline is similar as well, so if you are an Incredibles fan, don’t worry – the game isn’t going to disappoint. It is suitable for children, though adults might find themselves getting drawn in too.
